Do I have to pay before I see anything?
No. The guided builder first shows a free CV preview. When you share experience it personalises the headline, summary and achievement samples; if you skip everything, it stays an honest starter framework instead of inventing facts. Payment only happens when you choose to continue. Checking an existing CV is free and needs no card.
Will CVMate invent experience I don't have?
Not in faithful mode, which is the default. CVMate can restructure and rewrite what you've actually done, but it cannot add a duty, a skill, a tool or a number your history doesn't support. If you deliberately switch on enhanced mode, any estimated figure is isolated and flagged so you approve or delete it before download.
Is my data safe here?
Your CV is handled under the Australian Privacy Principles and used only to generate your application — we don't sell it and we don't pass it to recruiters. Payments run through Stripe, so card details never touch a CVMate server. You can request deletion of everything at any time.
Is this a subscription? Do I need to create a password?
No subscription and no password to remember. You buy the CVs you want once in AUD, with no monthly fee, auto-renewal or card kept on file. We give you secure passwordless dashboard access by email so you can return to your documents whenever you need them.

What exactly do I get for my money?
A complete kit for one specific job: the tailored CV as PDF and editable Word, a matching cover letter written for the same ad in both formats, and the ATS compatibility report. Can I edit the CV afterwards?
